Scary velomible crash 40mph into a tree stump

Milan crash

Stay with the description at the front of the video as there is some live footage as it swerves off the road hits a tree stump and does a barrel role.

Pleased to say he survives to tell his tale.

Wow!
I think 40MPH crashes are going to result in damage to both rider and bike no matter what the bike is.
My little 29MPH crash taught me that lower speeds are less likely to result in injury or death (except when crossing busy roads).
He is lucky to have got off so relatively lightly in terms of his personal injuries.
I would write that Velo off against my insurance and get a new one.
