Went for my daily 5 mile ride, the battery indicator still showed lots of charge.
Got about 4 miles and the display went blank, no juice?
Charging as I type. This is a new Li-po battery that has about 50 miles on it.

Put a shunt-meter on your motor circuit. It will show you how hard you are hitting the batteries in terms of watts/amps.
What's (WATTS) your gearing like?

If you always run the batteries to "flat" then they will only last a very short while and the number of recharges you get will be fewer.

There's been that many different types of battery over my lifetime and the advice on some was to run them completely down before recharging so that the "memory" sets correctly. Not the case with Lithium though. Little and often keeps them in better condition.

Yeah.. I have learned of late that it would seem keepung lithium between 30 and 80% charge will be the best life span.

the "meter? on the display showed plenty of charge before I went for my 5 mile ride.
Batter brand new had about 50 miles on it.
Going to charge once a week.
