Full suspension recumbent trike loosely based on Streetfox

Just continuing the old thread where I asked what size shocks to use for my first recumbent trike build with full suspension.

I got as far as installing the front shocks and found that the 500lb ones are a good size for my weight.

Here is a video of me jumping on the frame to test the shocks

The rear shock is a 750lb that came from the donor mountain bike. It is a bit stiff so considering swapping it for a 500lb as well.

It all depends on the geometry of the suspension design. Leverage and angle of operation come into play and will alter the force applied and even the 500lb shock could be too soft or too hard. Two 500lb shocks = 1,000lb and I doubt if you would have that mass. The shocks will still support that force, per inch of deflection I am assuming. Therefore, to a point, any shock can be used provided sufficient leverage can be obtained in operation.

Having calculated near enough, suck it and see works for me.
