How to Become a Member

Registration to this forum is free! However, keep in mind that joining is a privilege, not a right.

We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. You must provide a valid email address during your registration. You will automatically receive a confirmation email with instructions to confirm your registration. If you don't follow the instructions, your registration will not become active.

Administrators and approved moderators reserve the right to approve or deny any forum membership request. All decisions are final.

We encourage all members to introduce themselves in the Builders Connection first so we can learn a bit about you, where you're from, why you decided to join us and give us the opportunity to officially welcome you to our community.

What Our Forum is About

We are a global community of enthusiastic human powered and some motorized vehicle builders who enjoy sharing their ideas and helping others in the spirit of do-it-yourself. In our forum, we welcome members from across any border, any age group, and any skill level to join in this great, fun hobby.

Our forum provides assistance for those using our DIY plans to create their own vehicles as well as those who are building something unique from scratch. Newcomers to this hobby are welcomed and encouraged to ask questions and share ideas about their projects, as there is an abundance of friendly advice to be found in our forum.

Our forum is about all aspects of this hobby including the design, tools, parts, and skills needed to take your ideas and turn them into reality, and we encourage in-depth conversations on the subjects.

What We Do Not Allow

Religious references and debates of any kind.

There is absolutely no place in our forum for a heated discussion (argument) on whose deity is better or why someone else's belief system is wrong.

The Golden Rule: Before you come through the door, leave your higher power in the lobby and remember what we are all here for.

Membership here is a privilege, not a right.

We take a very hard line on this and will remove any post, avatar, or signature that promotes any form of religion. We have seen how something as simple as a single sentence can erupt into a battle that threatens this community’s tranquility, and we don't have the time or patience for such a thing.

If your religious values require that you "spread the word", then find another place to preach because it will not be tolerated here. There are visitors and members from around the world who come to our forum every day, and although we respect the right to free speech, this forum is not the place to command one’s belief systems on the worldwide community.

Respect is a two-way street.

If you cannot respect that fact that others hold opinions, values and beliefs that differ from your own, then our community is not the place for you.

Political references and debates of any kind.
This is another subject that we will not allow in our forum. Political opinions always lead to flared tempers, and we have decided to simply take away the matches, rather than fight the fires. That being said, political references and comments will be instantly removed at the Administrator’s and Moderator’s discretion.

However, if you want to discuss a certain bicycle or electric vehicle bylaw for instance, this type of topic can be discussed without making inflated or derogatory comments. Being a political activist in a DIY community does not further anyone's cause.

Bullying or name calling.
Regardless of age, training, or skill level, we consider all who join our community to be equals. Those few who may consider themselves superior to others or need to hurl insults will soon find themselves banned permanently.

Our forum has no place for bullies, egoists, spammers, scammers, trolls, or self-appointed moderators. If you are looking for a place to exercise a superiority complex, form your own community elsewhere because such behaviors and attitudes won't be allowed here.

The owners, administrators and authorized moderators of the Atomic Zombie Extreme Machines Builder's Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread, avatar, picture, link and signature for any reason at any time, with our without notice to the poster. We aim to keep this forum clean and friendly. Decisions are final.

Commercial Trade, Soliciting of Funds or Donations (for-profit and not-for-profit interests)

Regardless of your personal feelings about advertising, bear in mind that this forum is free. However, the costs associated with maintaining and keeping the community online are not free.

Therefore, we only allow for the sale of goods and services through paid advertisers and sponsors.

We also welcome businesses and individuals to advertise on our forum. Posts soliciting funds or donations for profit and not-for-profit causes must be approved by the Forum Administrator. However, due to problems in the past, we generally do not allow fundraising solicitations on the forum.

Contact the Forum Administrator for more information.
