Derailleur dilemma

Hi, in our current 2nd lockdown in Australia I had the idea of building a gravel bike based on some free parts I've inherited or traded for. I've managed to work through the majority of issues in the planning phase but one I've hit a bump with and would love some advice on is derailleur hangers.

I've gone with an old frame (pic - https://photos.app.goo.gl/xHmPARVggoPa993X9) but am wanting to pair up with a wheelset which has 12mm thru axle rods. I've also got a newer shimano direct mount derailleur to add into to the mix to add to the problem. The thru axle issue seems to exclude the traditional claw hanger option (and I'm not much of a fan anyway) so I'd started looking at potential aftermarket thru axle hangers as an alternative but unsure how to get the install right. I'd been looking at how I could use something like this - https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-hangers/dropout-related-products/derailleur-hanger-328.html or https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-hangers/dropout-related-products/derailleur-hanger-328.html but uncertain if with a few tweaks this would work or not.

Any suggestions or experience out there on how best to approach this?

I just got info from other bikes for the position.
The derailleur is adjustable, so it doesn't have to be perfect.

Save yourself the money on the expensive mounts, and get a 10mm x 1.0mm pitch nut, and weld it on up. Works great. I did this on my trike:
