It seems that a problem in sourcing appropriate wheels for trike builds comes up from time to time. The most common problem is the requirement for a sufficiently strong axle for cantilever mounting. There are a number of different alternatives that can be tried. All that is required is to make a replacement hub for an existing wheel.

Various builders have overcome the problem in their own way. How about posting your own successful methods here so that they are all in one place and easy to find?

The only specs I use are a combination of:

That which you believe to be strong enough to do the job.
That which you have to use in order to suit the wheels that you intend to use.
That which fits within your resources to make them.

I have used two different designs in the past and will try and bring them to this thread over the next week. The current one will have to wait until it is completed.
