I might have to dig up my notebook full of snow vehicle concept drawings and start looking that them again.

Maybe I should have waited to post my 'Shov-a-Hoe' thread.
Being from Vermont, I've had to shovel out from deep snow as well.

When does your spring thaw come?
 
Will have to consider that mod, I constantly break shovels.
Not sure who they make these "heavy duty" shovels for around here, perhaps 8 year olds??
I can snap a shovel or wear one clean out in 2 days!

Most of our garden tools have been modded as well.
I take the wood handles, and weld directly to 1.5 inch conduit. Works great, and offers longer reach.

Spring thaw?... please define that term, it is not computing.

Looking at this makes me think of a, pedal powered aerial tramway, or 'Zipline'
Like a pedal powered ski lift of sorts.

Ski down, zip down, sled down, and the fun part......pedal back up.
Just think of the conditioning you would get, through the winter months. :D
 
There are only pockets of snow in the yard now, and I have fired up the welder finally!
Had to completely redo my front stairs, will post that in another thread.

I feel your pain. We have hot summers here with temperatures beyond 40 degrees Celsius at times but t sure beats watching snow slowly melting.
 
Yeah, if the snow is lower than my tool belt, then it's just a dusting!

By the time I found the snowblower, the truck was almost completely buried.

No matter how many aerosol cans I let out into the atmosphere, global warming has not worked in my favor.
I need to step it up and let the cars idle 24 hours a day, and burn plastic by the ton.

The world if forked anyhow, so it might as well be comfortable at the end of all things.

I can tell you that the project will be human powered, will have some bicycle components, and will do a job that most would think impossible by human power!
The new project will probably be my most "impossible" project only next to The SkyWalke Tallbike.

I must stay silent until the Newsletter!

Day two of April snow, now expected to go until the first few days of May.

Our garden out front is completely buried under 2-3 feet of snow now.
At least we didn't put the seeds in the ground 2 days ago when it was 15 degrees and sunny.
The grass turned green 3 days ago, and I was swatting mosquitoes while making birdhouses!

Trees are heavy from the sticky snow, which is going to change to freezing rain today and tomorrow.

I best get the rest of my web work done while I can, power will be out for sure soon.
Not sure where my welder is. Someplace in front of the house under one of the mounds of snow.

Well, I had two good days outside working on the latest DIY Project, The Yard Mule!
Winter never ends up the mountains of The Great White North.

Down that hill someplace is my welder buried under the snow along with the project I was working on.
At least I am putting tarps on things this year, but they were supposed to be for rain!

Come on climate change... work in my favor for once, eh?

Brad: I think you need a couple of bike-type flagpoles to mark the position of things that end up under snow. At least you will know where they are while you are waiting for the snow to melt. Better make one that is higher than the house in case someone needs to find it.
