There are benefits to living out in the middle of nowhere with no visible neighbors.
That is our front yard, and it extends 160 acres into the forest.
There shall be no McDonalds going up in our lifetime!

All of those small trees you see are either apple trees or berry trees.
Deer sleep under that big pine every night, and there are a few black bears down by the creek to watch out for.

Out here in the Great White North you can buy property like this for half the cost of a typical pickup truck.
We are doing our best to live off the land in a self sustaining way, and so far it has been great.

I love that lifestyle. I don't know if folks now how much work it is living the self sustaining lifestyle. I tip my hat to you two for giving it your all. Were not that secluded, but I have to be on the defence when wandering around or out for a walk when the bear are out roaming. Usually there are a few cubs out with mama. I can't blame her for being on the defense.
