Hi! I always forget to write the mileage meter down and suddenly it turns over to zero, but somewhere around 2500 km (1600mi) I would guess. Still using FN as the preferred work commuter. But not every day, and have been working from home to some extend. It is still great fun, fresh air, modest...

Looks promising, and a healthy amount of ideas flying! 👍 Personally I will keep an eye on the belt drive evolution. Nice canoe builds - Have you considered making the quad using the same tech? There is/were a guy in Germany (I think it was) who had built frames with wood and epoxi.

A solution to keeping a 4 wheeled vehicle in 4 points of contact.

@dandeangeli Trying to upload pedal mid hub. I pedal on the rear left. (#notgoodatuploading) Edit; When reading your question again I noticed that this was not what U asked for.🤪 Motor drives on rear right and you can see a glimpse on the first of the uploaded photos and a better view @1.18...

Interesting! I’m quite satisfied with the torsional flex in the main boom on my StreetFighter based contraption. But I’m mostly driving on bicycle lanes etc, and the lion share of the mass(-es, post x-mas…) on the rear wheels. .….and the fairing just laying on top of the frame adding no...

Quad with all wheel suspension and FWD and space frame cycle camper - incredible !

Hohoho, etc. About the leaf-springed german quad, I think (at least) the parts come from the Company Velomo. Intersting company with many projects, in below linked YT visited by a german youtuber. Sharpen your eyes in the beginning and you will see the components. (Followed by 20mins of very...

DIY body for a Velomo Quad - interesting

Thanx! Yep, more enclosed. I have laid my hands on a retired mobility scooter and amongst other bits and bobs there are a reasonably neat seat adjustment! Time will tell (maybe) if that would lend itself to a velocar project! //hp

    Ackerman Gone Bad

Hi! Fairing plywoods are sewn together with copper wires which are removed when panels are joined together from the inside. There are a few seconds showing this in the ”Story of a Velocar” film. The Youtube rabbithole to explore is ”Stitch and glue”. I would recommend a tad bigger outer radius...

DIY body for a Velomo Quad - interesting

Hi! If/when MkII probably will have a more ”modern” touch. Something like Brads started velomobile fairing project or the above mentioned Quadvelo. And adjustable seating for 1,6(not so tall sweetheart)-2m(tall sons) riders. 😁 But there are quite a few other projects to be done first, primarily...

    Ackerman Gone Bad

Thanx, and +1 on kudos to this wonderful community and Brads designs! ”discovered that when I turn left my wheels go right!” The same happened to me, if I understand U right. 😁 In my case, the tab on the steering column pointed 180 degreees wrong. 😅 Fixable, though! Kingpin tabs still facing...

DIY body for a Velomo Quad - interesting

Hi! My BB is at approx 34cm. Cranks somewhat shorter; approx 14cm. (Kids bike, I think) With my positioning of the size 44 soles that ends up with approx 5cm heel/ground clearence which never had been a problem. With clipped bicycle shoes ground clearence probably should be only a few cm which...

DIY body for a Velomo Quad - interesting

Indeed! Much fun going on in Germany. If not presented somewhere here already, have a peek here: https://quadvelo.com/ I think its related to Velomo. //hp

    StreetFighter QuadCycle electric motor

Steering might differ a tad from original design, but the principles are similar. (Ackerman, etc) If you check out the ”Story of a Velocar” on Youtube and pause @ 1:10 and 1:23 there are quite good views of my interpretation!

    StreetFighter QuadCycle electric motor

Hi, and welcome back in the saddle! I bought a e-bike conversion kit; Front wheel with motor, controller, controls, battery and charger. First setup lasted approx 5 yrs, then I repeated, now with a tad more expensive stuff. (First lead battery did not last more than a couple of years, lithium...

    StreetFighter QuadCycle electric motor

I pedal and pedal-brakes (via three-speed hub under the seat) on rear left and motor and disc brake is on rear right! No brakes in the front, but I live in a reasonably flat area. MkII (if/when) will probably have drum brakes in the front, seems convinient! //hp
