    Marauder-chain jumping off

Thanks, just needed some assurance that shouldn't happen! I followed the plan (1.5" x 0.06" steel tube). But I think it maybe the frame itself or the crank mount (got a local welder shop to do that part for me) has a slight misalignment in it somewhere. Plan is to bolt a preload bar to the...

    Marauder-chain jumping off

I've never driven a chain drive motorbike, so not sure what you mean. For sure the bike lifts up a little. But the frame is flexing sideways too. Is that the cause of the chain slipping off? Does the frame needs some lateral reinforcement, and where would that go

    Alternative crank mounting methods

    Alternative crank mounting methods

Hi Builders, Wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to bolt the crank to the frame, like for example through the chainstay stubs. The challenge, as I see it, is accurately drilling the holes so that the chainring is properly aligned with the chain. I wish I still had access to welding...

    Security & homebuilt recumbents

Any experience or opinions about risk of vandalism or theft? I just finally got my marauder into a rideable state, and wanna take it for a run up to Vancouver BC. My thinking is that if it's obviously a homebuilt, nobodies gonna steal it. But at this point I'm not sure how much to worry about...
