Here in Venezuela, we say "he discovered warm water" when someone claims something everybody else already knows (similar to the "Captain Obvious" meme).
Why I'm saying this?
Because in a recent expo, HP Velotechnik introduced their new, innovative delta trike: the Delta TX. However... some features have been used in Atomic Zombie designs for decades! Take a look:
Instead of the complex and heavy independent suspension of the Hase Kettwiesel, this trike opted for a single shock/spring assembly for the entire rear axle. Also, the rear support for the cargo basket is attached to the suspended part of the frame. Both features are pretty much what we can see in the TimberWolf and Aurora trikes:
Another feature I recognized is the lack of a differential. Instead, they opted for a solution I saw in the Atomic Zombie forum years ago: each rear wheel has its own freewheel.
It seems that great minds do think alike after all!
