Quad Pedal Car - 2025 late Xmas/early Birthday present ?

I think you may have an issue with the lack of that extra bit of chassis. It looks like it was doing more than one job and the most important one was adding some triangulation to the main chassis at the point where it bends. I think the whole point of the bend in the main rails is so it can be...

The top seat mount doesn't need to be as high as it was from the point of view of using it as a seat. To avoid standing on the seat on entry why not hinge the top portion of the body thus allowing access to get the feet directly to the ground in front of the seat. You'll probably only need 18"...

There's not a lot of sideways support on that seat now. A racing corner could have you relying on the bars.

You could get more turning circle by relacing the wheels with some offset. Just an inch of offset would equal a lot of extra turn. Same effect as moving the kingpins on the chasis stress though.

They are presumably race vehicles only so any limitation on road manners is not relevant. There's no reason a perimeter frame has to have the front wheels far forward. It won't affect overall length to pull them rearwards.

The problem with cutting the kingpins off and moving them out is it increases leverage the wheel can exert on the frame rail. Again a perimeter frame issue. The perimeter frame rail wants to twist as force is exerted from the wheel and has only any cross members to use to resist that. This one...

    Frame Welding

No reason you can't use oxy acetylene if you can get the kit. If you're very flush you could use laser welding too.

Looks like the chassis rails just behind the body are in the way of much more turning. That leaves little room to muck about. One of the big drawbacks of a perimeter frame. The front wheels being a long way forward make matters worse too.

    Aluminium Viking Tandem

Ferrous oxide coating but it's primarily the shape that allows them to drill. Even high end std profile drills died immediately. The Dewalt Extreme 2 has a pilot point and then goes flat and would easily tackle a 10mm hole whereas even quality std profile couldn't tackle anything over 6mm. As...

Many drills died in the making of that until I bought Dewalt Extreme 2 bits.

There's no retainer bar on those guide pulleys. A simple bit of round bar across the back of the chain where it meshes with the pulleys would prevent the chain coming off.

I'm wondering why it runs a jackshaft. I can't see any reason for it to do so. It just adds weight and complexity, plus as said, the sigle side mounting of those parts is flex prone. Is it 1 wheel drive or a solid rear axle?

    Aluminium Viking Tandem

I went through two Clarkes before I bought a secondhand Cebora. I've had that about a quarter of a century without issue. Stainless makes decent beams but is very hard on drills. Buy only the best drills. I did my last tilting trike with stainless.

A taddy should have resistance to steering but not so much you are pushing hard. It should want to self centre and that is the force you are overcoming. If it requires a lot of grunt then it's likely that the leverage is poor leaving you with little actual movement at the top of the lever or the...

Different. At first glance it looks back to front. The openings through which you can see the knees look like side windows for viewing out.

I would think the Viking was one of the least likely candidates for being made in aluminium. Aluminium makes terrible beams and that's a long one holding two people.
