Can I remove these magnets ?

They are definitely epoxied! I wanted to salvage these from a dead scooter motor and used a torch to heat the outside of the shell until the epoxy softened enough to pry the magnets. You may break the initial one as there isn't much gap. A few warnings... These are NIB magnets and shatter...

    Ed's 'StreetRunner' Quad Build

This is great! I will have to consider this one day as I too am often moving brush like this around the farm. The tree crowns often stay in the bush when I am cutting, but they would be great camp fire wood. Looking forward to the next installment of your StreetRunner build too!

    Red delta gets a body

Your trike looks like a much more advance version of my 1983 hacked together car seat cruiser! With those 1970 ten speed rims and thick mullet, I was unstoppable.

    Red delta gets a body

I have indeed shaved a few times with an angle grinder. ... not planned though! Looking forward to seeing the skin go on this bodywork, cheers!

    Finally Finished

That looks great! Thanks for posting. If you have a few build photos as well, I will share your build out to my other pages. Cheers, Brad

    Are your roads rough ?

That would actually be perfect for my terrain. I have nothing but massive hills and gravel roads out here! Very creative and fun build!

    A python trike is born...

With all of these reports, it sounds like all that the Python needs to be perfectly stable at high speed is a fast single board computer, a dozen or so actuators and linear sensors, and some good AI code to assist the pilot. Since a lot of machine learning code is done in the language Python, it...

Hubless + tilting + steering Trike

Having the front swingarms so close to the base of the wheel... it may actually hold up. In this design, there is no axle or leverage like there would be in a standard trike. You can consider the front wheels to be 2 inches in diameter effectively. It is rolling art, I like it! Brad

    A python trike is born...

Nice ride, thanks for sharing! I have seen steering dampers used on DIY rides of the snake variety. They look like the air springs in a car hatch, just smaller. Also found a set on a large motorcycle that was scrapped. Brad

    A python trike is born...

Thanks! Look forward to the pics. I had to stop hosting photos as my server would bulk up and overload. I started a bike gallery here as well, but it seems to be only me posting!.... https://www.reddit.com/r/FreakBikeGallery/ www.flickr.com is a good free photo site that allows 1000 photos and...

what welder do you need for steel or AL?

Here is my welder. All 42 bikes on the main page were built using nothing more than this, a hand drill and angle grinder. I also work outside on old saw horses. I also weld on the AC setting using only 3/32 6013 rod. Since starting AZ, I have never owned or used any other tools. Of course...

Wow, finally did some welding again!

Thanks! I think this synth will have the flavor of both the late 70's analog modulars as well as the early 80's digital / samplers. Since I have 12 individual 6502 CPU controlled sample channels, each able to do 8 not poly, that is a lot of thickness. Those channels then feed into a series of 3...

Wow, finally did some welding again!

I have to admit, some of these angles were tough, especially since I decided to fold the side rather than weld 2 parts together! Funny, I am building the 3D model after I make it in the real world. Seems more fun this way. Hope the snow holds off until I can get the base frame done. I need...

Wow, finally did some welding again!

I started making the list when I was half way expired at age 50!

Wow, finally did some welding again!

It's been such a long time since I switched on the ole buzz-box that I had to remove small trees that were growing up around it! I dug it out of the grass and moved into the old shack so I could spend a day making this... This is the end result after 6 hours, with most of the time going to...

Full suspension trike design and build.

This will be a great project to watch. Too bad there wasn't a simple shaft drive option to bring the drive through the boom and then do a mid drive chain system under the seat.

    Support for Warrior Trike

I just think it's cool that something is built based on work I did so long ago and is now finding a second home. Nostalgia, I guess!

    Support for Warrior Trike

Greets! Do you have a few full shots of the full trike? Would be cool to share it on the FB page. There is a real story behind this one, and it's great to see it find a new home. Cheers, Brad

    Panzer steering on Streetfox

Maybe I will do a basic Ackerman, Centerpoint, Caster video tutorial for the Tutorials Section of the site. Nothing too wordy, just the basic rules that usually result in good steering on trikes and quads. I will base it on these diagrams...
