This download is a beginner's guide to building high quality small electric vehicles from easily available parts using basic tools. Armed with an electric motor, a pair of batteries, a handful of washing machine parts and some recycled bicycle parts, you can create a small yet powerful mini bike like Sparky that will outperform store bought electric scooters or pocket bikes - gas or electric. Sparky is silent, has a top speed of over 30 mph (50 km/h), and can run for at least two hours on a single battery charge. Hill climbing is absolutely no problem, and Sparky can accelerate up to full speed at a phenomenal rate, even in the dirt.

Because of Sparky's small size and silent operating, it is easy to ride the little mini bike just about anywhere without disturbing the peace, or annoying people around you. When it comes time to recharge the batteries, simply plug the unit in for a 6 hour recharge, or replace the battery pack using the handy quick change mounting system shown in the plans for non stop riding.

The plan contains step-by-step instructions accompanied by color photos so that you can build Sparky exactly as I did, or you can build your own custom electric mini bike using any design and parts you have available to suit your budget. Once you understand the basics that make a small electric vehicle perform, you will be able to alter the design to create your own unique high performance electric fun machine.

Sparky represents the smallest, fastest, and most rugged mini bike I could build using the parts I had available, but you can build one even smaller, or as large a full sized street worthy motorcycle using the same basic principles shown in this plan.  The possibilities are truly endless.

It is difficult to describe how fun Sparky is to ride! When you first engage the throttle, the amount of acceleration is almost shocking, but that feeling is soon turned to amazement as your hat flies off your head and you realize you have yet to engage the throttle more than halfway. Unlike many store bought pocket bikes and scooters, Sparky is like a rocket, yet he can take the abuse of off road riding, climb massive hills, and give the rider fine control over speed so that all ages can enjoy the ride.
